人物经历
埃齐奥从小生活在富有的家庭里，娇生惯养并没有使他变得颓废，他叛逆，同时向往自由，整天拈花惹草，经常纠集家族人员与其他家族斗殴，这也使他练就了一身的打架本领和攀爬技能。
埃齐奥17岁左右时，家庭遭受了重大变故，其父被人出卖，父亲、哥哥和弟弟被抓走，碰巧出门在外的埃齐奥躲过了一劫。他前往囚禁父兄的塔楼，得到父亲的命令，继承了父亲刺客的事业。
1500年1月，教宗之子西泽尔（凯撒）·波吉亚领兵对蒙泰利吉欧尼庄园发动攻击。西泽尔于城破之时夺回埃齐奥伯父马里奥·奥迪托雷（Mario Auditore）保管之伊甸圣器“金苹果”，枪杀了马里奥。
在罗马被顺利解放后，年近花甲的埃齐奥在将“金苹果”隐藏妥当后，只身前往奥斯曼帝国的中心君士坦丁堡，追寻马西亚夫著名刺客阿泰尔的足迹，登上了寻求真相之旅。
